Mr.Jatin R. Mehta
Chairman

Mr. Jatin R. Mehta, Commerce Graduate, pioneered his career in the diamond industry in the year 1974 and is having vast experience in the industry. It was his legendry vision which made the Company to opt for a Public Issue in the year 1986, which was not common in an Industry where traditional business practices prevail. Under the stewardship of Mr. Jatin R. Mehta, the Company has achieved sustained growth over the years. He was the Chairman of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India during the years 1989 and 1993.

Mr. Lakhpatraj Bhansali
Whole-time Director

Mr. Lakhpatraj Bhansali has been inducted on the Board with effect from 19th April, 2011. He specializes in monitoring of Diamond cutting and polishing units and has experience of jewellery business. He has been associated with the Company since inception.

Mr.K.N. Bhandari
Director

Mr. K.N. Bhandari is a Non-Executive Director on the Board. He was the Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of New India Assurance Company Limited and United India Insurance Company Limited. Mr. K.N. Bhandari was inducted on the Board on 20th August, 2002 and is having rich experience in the Insurance Industry. He is serving on the Boards of many prestigious corporates in India like Hindalco Industries Limited etc.

Mr.G.P. Gupta
Director

Mr. G.P. Gupta is a Non-Executive Director on the Board. He was the Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of Industrial Development Bank of India. He was also the Chairman of Unit Trust of India. Mr. G.P. Gupta was inducted on the Board of the Company on 26th July, 2005 and specialises in the field of General Management, Financial Management, Banking, Industrial & Financial Restructuring. He is acting as a Director on the Boards of reputed corporates in India like Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Ltd., Aditya Birla Nova, Idea Cellular Ltd. etc.

Mrs. Shrilekha V. Parikh
Director

Mrs. Shrilekha V. Parikh is a Non-Executive Director inducted on the Board on 9th May, 2008. She is an academician with over 35 years of rich teaching experience in India and abroad. She is a post-graduate (M.Com) and has a Business Degree with marketing specialization from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. She has been a visiting Faculty at UC-Berkeley and Bentley College, Boston.

Mr. Madan B. Khurjekar
Director

Mr. Madan B. Khurjekar is a Non-Executive Director of the Company. He has been inducted on the Board on 30th January, 2010. Mr. Khurjekar was General Manager of Central Bank of India. He has represented the Bank at International Seminars held at Cambridge London and United States of America. Mr. Khurjekar was on Board of Central Warehousing Corporation, a Mini Ratna of Government of India.

Mr. Sharad B. Bhagwat
Director

Mr. Sharad B. Bhagwat is a Non-Executive Director of the Company. He has been appointed on Board with effect from 14th February, 2011. Mr. Sharad B. Bhagwat is a Fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a senior partner and in-charge of Banking Services Division, Pune office of Kirtane & Pandit, Chartered Accountants (KPCA). He was also an elected member of Western India Regional Council of the ICAI for two successive terms and held the positions of Treasurer and Vice-Chairman. He has worked with a Nationalised Bank in various capacities, including as a Zonal Manager, for nearly 30 years. While with KPCA, Mr. Bhagwat has worked for many clients in the Banking Industry and has handled various assignments like Concurrent Audits, Branch Statutory Audits for various Nationalised Banks, Central Statutory Audits of Public Sector Banks and Private Banks.

Mr. Dilip P. Tikle
Director

Mr. Dilip P. Tikle is a Non-Executive Director of the Company. He has been appointed on Board with effect from 14th February, 2011. Mr. Dilip P. Tikle is a Fellow of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE). He has also been the Scientific Advisor for Defense to Prime Minister for his significant contribution to Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP). Mr. Dilip Tikle has received several recognitions and awards including “Pride of ACTS” of C-DAC at 28th Convocation to a more offbeat “Gun Gaurav Padak” of Pune Municipal Corporation for saving lives at Lakshadweep Island. His mission is “effective use of ICT for masses, especially in the field of education and governance.” Mr. Dilip Tikle is closely associated with many NGO’s who are working in the field of education, innovation and eco-sustainable village development in remote and tribal area.

Mrs. Urvashi Saxena
Director

Mrs. Urvashi Saxena is a Non Executive Director of the Company. She has been appointed on the Board with effect from 12th November, 2011. Mrs. Urvashi Saxena held several important assignments in the Income Tax Department like being the first lady D.D.I. (Investigation) in charge of raids in Mumbai and the first lady Chief Commissioner in Mumbai. She received several citations, rewards and awards for her distinguished service during a long and fulfilling career of 37 years. After retirement she was appointed as member of the Income Tax Settlement Commission where she rose to the position of Vice-Chairperson and finally retired as the Chairperson in June 2007.

Presently, she is a partner in a Law firm: her areas of specialisation include International Taxation and Transfer Pricing issues.
